Modern Slavery Statement
Deep Cleaning Acton Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps Deep Cleaning Acton has taken, and continues to take, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains. Deep Cleaning Acton is committed to conducting business ethically, transparently, and in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to modern slavery and human rights.
Our Zero-Tolerance Commitment
Deep Cleaning Acton maintains a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, child labour, and exploitation. We do not tolerate such practices within our own business or within the organisations with which we choose to work. This commitment is embedded in our internal policies, codes of conduct, and supplier requirements, and is fundamental to the way we operate.
All directors, managers, employees, and contractors are expected to uphold this policy at all times. Any deliberate breach of this policy will be treated as a serious disciplinary matter that may result in termination of employment or contract, and, where appropriate, referral to the relevant authorities.
Our Supply Chain and Supplier Standards
Our supply chain includes providers of cleaning products and equipment, facilities services, subcontracted labour, and various professional and support services. We recognise that certain parts of the cleaning and facilities sector can present a higher risk of labour exploitation. We therefore seek to work only with suppliers and subcontractors who share our commitment to ethical conduct and respect for human rights.
We expect all suppliers to comply with applicable labour, employment, and human rights laws in the countries in which they operate. As part of our procurement process, we communicate our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery and require suppliers to confirm that they do not engage in, support, or allow any form of modern slavery within their operations or supply chains.
Supplier Audits and Due Diligence
Deep Cleaning Acton is developing and implementing proportionate due diligence procedures to identify, assess, and monitor potential risks of modern slavery in our supply chains. These procedures include risk-based supplier audits and reviews. Where we identify suppliers operating in higher-risk sectors or regions, we may conduct more detailed assessments of their practices and controls.
Supplier audits may involve reviewing relevant documentation and policies, assessing working conditions, and, where feasible, conducting site visits. Should any concerns or red flags be identified, we will work with the supplier to address and remediate the issue within a reasonable timeframe. If a supplier is unwilling or unable to take adequate corrective action, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the relationship.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
We encourage an open culture in which concerns about possible modern slavery or human trafficking can be raised without fear of retaliation. Employees, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders are encouraged to report any suspicion or evidence of modern slavery in our operations or supply chains as soon as practicable.
Concerns may be raised directly with a line manager, a senior manager, or through internal reporting mechanisms made available to staff. All reports will be taken seriously, handled sensitively, and investigated promptly and objectively. We are committed to protecting those who raise concerns in good faith from detrimental treatment or victimisation. Where appropriate, we will report suspected cases of modern slavery to the relevant authorities.
Training and Awareness
Deep Cleaning Acton is committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff and managers, particularly those involved in recruitment, procurement, and supplier management. We aim to provide training and guidance on how to recognise indicators of modern slavery, how to respond to concerns, and the importance of due diligence when engaging third parties.
By increasing awareness throughout our organisation, we seek to strengthen our ability to identify potential risks and ensure that our zero-tolerance policy is effectively implemented in day-to-day operations.
Monitoring, Annual Review, and Continuous Improvement
This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed annually by senior management to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness. The review will consider any changes in our business operations, supply chain structure, legal requirements, industry best practice, and any issues or incidents that may have arisen during the year.
As part of this annual review, we will evaluate the effectiveness of our supplier audits, due diligence procedures, training programmes, and reporting mechanisms. Where necessary, we will update and enhance our policies and processes to strengthen our approach to combating modern slavery and human trafficking.
This statement reflects Deep Cleaning Acton’s ongoing commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to implementing and enforcing systems and controls designed to prevent modern slavery in our operations and supply chains.
