These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Deep Cleaning Acton provides professional cleaning services to residential and commercial customers in Acton and the surrounding areas. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order for any cleaning services.

In these Terms and Conditions, the terms we, us, and our refer to Deep Cleaning Acton, and you and your refer to the customer who books and receives the cleaning service.

1. Scope of Services

1.1 Deep Cleaning Acton provides a range of cleaning services including, but not limited to, one-off deep cleans, end of tenancy cleans, after-builders cleans, spring cleans, and regular maintenance cleaning. The exact scope of work for each booking will be confirmed during the booking process.

1.2 We will perform the services with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with industry standards for professional cleaning services and within the time frame agreed at the time of booking, where reasonably possible.

1.3 Unless expressly agreed otherwise, our services do not include professional pest control, exterior window cleaning at height, specialist cleaning of hazardous materials, or any work which, in our reasonable opinion, may pose a risk to health and safety.

1.4 The service will be carried out at the address you provide at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to ensure that the property is accessible at the agreed time and that any necessary instructions for access, parking, or security are clearly communicated in advance.

2. Booking Process

2.1 Bookings for cleaning services can be made by contacting us through our accepted communication channels. At the time of booking you will be asked to provide details about the property, the type of cleaning required, and your preferred date and time.

2.2 Your booking is an offer to purchase cleaning services from us. We reserve the right to accept or decline any booking request at our discretion. A booking will be deemed confirmed only when we expressly confirm the appointment details and, where applicable, receive any required deposit.

2.3 It is your responsibility to provide accurate and complete information about the property including the number of rooms, bathrooms, floors, and any particular requirements or areas of concern. If the information is inaccurate or incomplete, we may adjust the quoted price or the scope and duration of the work.

2.4 We may request photographs or additional details to better assess the condition of the property, particularly for deep cleaning and end of tenancy cleaning. This helps us to provide an accurate estimate of time and cost.

2.5 If we arrive at the property and reasonably determine that the actual condition substantially differs from that described at the time of booking, we reserve the right to revise the price, adjust the time spent, or decline to carry out the work. Any revised charges will be discussed and agreed with you before we proceed.

3. Pricing and Quotations

3.1 Prices for our services may be provided as a fixed quote for a specified scope of work or as an hourly rate, depending on the nature of the job. This will be confirmed during the booking process.

3.2 Quotations are based on the information provided by you and on the assumption of normal levels of soiling and reasonable access to all areas to be cleaned. Heavily soiled properties or those requiring additional work beyond the usual deep cleaning tasks may incur extra charges.

3.3 All prices are given in pounds sterling. Any applicable taxes or statutory charges in force at the time of booking will be included or clearly stated.

3.4 We reserve the right to adjust our prices from time to time. This will not affect confirmed bookings for which we have already provided written confirmation, except where the booking details change at your request or where the condition of the property has been misrepresented.

4. Payments and Deposits

4.1 Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. We may require a deposit to secure your booking, particularly for larger or full-property deep cleans.

4.2 Unless otherwise agreed, the remaining balance is payable on the day of the service upon completion of the cleaning. For repeat or commercial clients, alternative invoicing arrangements may be agreed in writing.

4.3 We accept commonly used payment methods as specified to you during the booking process. You must ensure that you have the means to pay on the day of service.

4.4 If payment is not made when due, we reserve the right to charge reasonable late payment fees and interest in line with applicable law, and to suspend or cancel any future bookings until outstanding amounts are settled.

4.5 Deposits may be non-refundable or partially refundable depending on the cancellation terms set out in section 5. We will notify you of any deposit requirements and conditions at the time of booking.

5. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Access

5.1 You may cancel or reschedule your booking by giving us notice in advance. The amount of notice required and any applicable charges will depend on how close to the appointment time the cancellation or rescheduling is requested.

5.2 If you cancel more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time, any deposit paid may be refunded or held as credit at our discretion. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment may result in loss of the deposit or a cancellation fee to cover our costs.

5.3 If our team attends the property at the agreed time and is unable to gain access, or if the service cannot proceed for reasons within your control such as lack of keys, incorrect address, or absence of necessary utilities, we may treat this as a late cancellation and charge a fee up to the full amount of the booking.

5.4 We will use reasonable endeavours to attend at the agreed time, but appointment times are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control. If we expect a significant delay, we will seek to inform you and agree a revised time or alternative date.

5.5 In rare circumstances we may need to cancel or reschedule a booking, for example due to staff sickness, equipment failure, or safety concerns. In such cases we will offer to rearrange the service at a mutually convenient time or issue a refund for any amount you have already paid for the affected appointment.

6. Customer Obligations and Property Preparation

6.1 You must ensure that the property is safe and suitable for cleaning. This includes making sure that there is adequate lighting, running water, and electricity, and that the property is free from hazards that could endanger our staff.

6.2 We ask that personal items, valuables, and important documents are safely stored away before the cleaning begins. This allows our team to work efficiently and reduces the risk of accidental damage.

6.3 For deep cleaning services, it is helpful if surfaces are reasonably clear of clutter and if any specific areas of concern are highlighted to our team before they start work. This enables us to focus on the areas that matter most to you.

6.4 If there are any fragile items, delicate surfaces, or special materials that require particular care or specific cleaning products, you must inform us in advance. Where appropriate, you may be asked to provide manufacturer instructions or suitable cleaning products for these items.

6.5 You agree not to instruct our staff to undertake any work that falls outside the agreed scope of services or which could be considered unsafe or inappropriate.

7. Quality of Service and Complaints

7.1 We aim to deliver a high standard of cleaning for all Acton deep cleaning services and to ensure that you are satisfied with the results.

7.2 If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the service, you must notify us as soon as possible, and in any event within 24 hours of the service being completed. We will investigate your concerns and, where we consider it appropriate, we may arrange a re-clean of the affected area.

7.3 Our obligation to re-clean or otherwise remedy any issues is subject to reasonable access to the property and is limited to the specific areas that were included in the original booking.

7.4 We are unable to accept responsibility for complaints raised more than 24 hours after the completion of the service, or where you have arranged for third parties to carry out further cleaning or repairs before giving us the opportunity to inspect and address the issue.

8. Liability and Limitations

8.1 We will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing our cleaning services. However, we cannot guarantee the removal of all stains, marks, or build-up, particularly where these are permanent, have damaged the underlying surface, or were not disclosed at the time of booking.

8.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the services shall be limited to the total amount paid or payable by you for the specific booking during which the incident occurred.

8.3 We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss of enjoyment, arising from the performance or non-performance of the services.

8.4 We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or defects within the property or its contents. This includes, without limitation, discolouration of surfaces, damage caused by incorrect installation, or deterioration due to age or poor condition.

8.5 We will not be liable for damage that occurs as a result of the customer failing to inform us of particular sensitivities, fragilities, or special cleaning requirements relating to surfaces or items at the property.

8.6 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot be limited or excluded by law.

9. Insurance

9.1 We aim to maintain appropriate insurance cover in respect of our cleaning activities, including public liability insurance, in line with industry practice for cleaning companies operating in and around Acton.

9.2 Our insurance cover is subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions of the relevant policy or policies, and any claim relating to damage or loss may need to comply with those policy requirements.

10. Waste, Rubbish, and Environmental Regulations

10.1 As part of our cleaning services we may collect ordinary domestic waste and debris and place it in your on-site refuse containers. Our staff are not licensed waste carriers and cannot remove and transport significant quantities of waste off-site.

10.2 You are responsible for ensuring that there is adequate capacity in your refuse containers for any waste generated during the cleaning service. Where waste removal beyond normal household levels is required, this must be arranged separately with an authorised waste carrier.

10.3 We will not handle or dispose of hazardous, clinical, or regulated waste including but not limited to asbestos, medical waste, chemical waste, solvents, or flammable materials. If such items are discovered, we may suspend or adjust the service for safety reasons.

10.4 We aim to comply with all relevant waste and environmental regulations applicable in the area where the service is provided. You agree not to request that we dispose of waste in any manner that breaches such regulations.

11. Health, Safety, and Conduct

11.1 Our staff are required to follow health and safety procedures while working at your property. This may include declining to use certain equipment, refusing to work at particular heights, or ceasing work where they consider conditions to be unsafe.

11.2 You must not request or require our staff to perform tasks that fall outside the agreed scope of cleaning, that are unsafe, or that are contrary to health and safety guidance applicable to cleaning services.

11.3 We expect all parties to behave respectfully and courteously. We reserve the right to withdraw our staff and terminate the service without refund if they encounter abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour.

12. Keys, Security, and Confidentiality

12.1 If you provide keys or access codes to enable us to enter the property, you must ensure that these are correct and that we are clearly instructed about any alarm systems or security arrangements.

12.2 We will take reasonable care to safeguard any keys or codes entrusted to us and will use them solely for the purpose of providing the agreed cleaning services.

12.3 We respect your privacy and will treat any personal information we obtain in the course of providing the services in accordance with applicable data protection laws. We will not disclose such information to third parties except where required to do so by law or where necessary to provide the services.

13. Force Majeure

13.1 We shall not be in breach of these Terms and Conditions or liable for any delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of our obligations where such delay or failure results from events, circumstances, or causes beyond our reasonable control.

13.2 Such events may include, but are not limited to, extreme weather, natural disasters, strikes, transport disruptions, power failures, accidents, or public health emergencies.

13.3 If a force majeure event occurs and continues for a significant period, we will discuss with you any necessary adjustments, rescheduling, or cancellations of bookings.

14. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

14.1 We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, operational requirements, or applicable law.

14.2 The version of the Terms and Conditions that applies to your booking will be the version in force at the time your booking is confirmed.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

15.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

15.2 You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the services we provide.

16. General Provisions

16.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court or competent authority, that provision shall be severed from the remaining provisions, which will continue to be valid and enforceable.

16.2 No failure or delay by us in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall be construed as a waiver of that right or remedy or prevent its later exercise.

16.3 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the provision of cleaning services and supersede any previous agreements, understandings, or arrangements, whether written or oral.
